Somerset School one of the first to Recycle their Plastic Football Pitch!

A North Somerset school is now one of the first schools in the UK to recycle their plastic football pitch. This pitch is made into plastic pellets which can be made into various products including school rulers

This new recycling method developed last year which means more and more schools will be able to recycle their plastic pitches too.

'Currently, there is one million square meters of it recycled every year and the hope is that the new process can increase that.' - BBC News

Encouraging other schools to do the same is extremely important, it means less waste which is really important for our current situation with the increasingly worrying climate change. Spreading the word can help other schools know that it can be done and they don't have to send this to landfill.
